iPad 2 OS 4.3
Wondering what new operating system is inside the iPad 2? The Apple iPad 2 OS 4.3. Our great buddy by the name of Steve Jobs can revolutionize everything… but there’s one thing can’t seem to figure out. That is how to embrace the word “contentment” in the vocabulary of his brainchild gizmos.
Just a few months back, Apple’s release of the much anticipated iPad has stirred frenzy in the world of the computer and mobile world. In fact, in a span of around nine months, Apple was able to sell a total of 15 million iPad units—representing 75 percent of practically all tablet PCs sold by year end 2010. And just when people were getting the hang of the iPhone 4, the fourth iteration of the bestselling mobile Smartphone… Apple released the iPad 2.
iPad 2 From the Outside
Apple iPad 2 is virtually alike to the first iPad version with almost indistinguishable changes in the exteriors like its thinner and shorter dimension. In terms of weight, it’s not really that light and still sports around 1.34 lbs. There is also a slight variation with where the speaker is placed—now on the lower part of iPad’s metallic back cover. The camera is still the same, though, and never quite improved—iPad 2 could have eaten the whole competition up right at this moment with a more decent camera resolution.
Interior Changes in the iPad 2
Originally equipped with an A4 CPU at 1 GHz speed, the second iteration of the iPad is endowed by the developers with a new CPU system called the A5 with still the same 1 GHz dual core processor. Upon initial tests of tablet PC critics, it is said that iPad 2 performs way faster than the previous version—giving justice to its 1 GHz CPU clock.
Software wise—Apple iPad 2 boasts the latest OS called the iOS 4.3, featuring a great improvement in browser speed, and the introduction of two major apps called the iMovie and Garage Band.
Battery Life
Battery life of the iPad 2 OS 4.3 is also at its best potential as it can remain unplugged for a span of five days with full use of its 3G features, games and other applications. Full and uninterrupted playback can be guaranteed for as long as ten hours… even exceeding what Apple claims.
Generally, the iPad 2 is a very impressive piece of device—that is even an understatement. Original iPad OS owners should not feel burdened though as the first version is still not far from how this second-coming performs.
